Mechanical Engineering Degree
From the design of medical prostheses to the cooling of advanced computers, from robot vision to computer-integrated manufacturing, mechanical engineers are shaping the world in which we live.
EPP's Mechanical Engineering program prepares practicing engineers to advance their knowledge of this increasingly complex field and enhance their role in it. The program broadens and strengthens students' understandings of traditional mechanical engineering fundamentals, and also introduces them to cutting edge applications and technologies. Courses are offered in three basic concentrations: mechanics, manufacturing, and robotics and controls. Within each, electives enable students to select courses from other concentrations if they wish. Highlights include:
- Classes conveniently scheduled weekday evenings and Saturdays
- Concentrations in mechanics (solid mechanics and thermo-fluid mechanics), manufacturing, and robotics and controls
- Faculty including educators from the Whiting School of Engineering and leading mechanical engineering professionals
- No thesis required
